Joseph was born March 13, 1934, the son of Adam and Minnie (Kautzman) Gratz. He married Angeline Ressler on January 20, 1953. He is survived by his wife, Angie, Bismarck; his daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Clyde Pfenning and Cheri and Jerry Seifert, all of Bismarck; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Donna Gratz, MN; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Dennis Glaser, Mandan, and Peggy and Russ Gustin, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
