Arthur J. Monheim, 62, of Export, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, in UPMC East Hospital, Monroeville, with his beloved family at his side. He was born Nov. 4, 1951, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Paul and Mildred (Hauck) Monheim. Arthur was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was employed as a superintendent by Kukurin Contracting Inc., Export. He was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Catholic Church, Delmont. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ginny Sistek. Arthur will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Sandi (Keene) Monheim; son, A.J. (Laura) Monheim, of Saltsburg; daughter, Amanda (K.J.) Reese, of Export; brothers and sister, Mark Monheim, of Penn Hills, Steve (Eva) Monheim, of Philadelphia, Janet (Dan) Edwards, of Pitcairn, and Paul (Mary Lou) Monheim, of South Carolina; brother-in-law, Jim Sistek, of Murrysville; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was the proud "grandfather" of Morgan Reese and Kyler Reese, through which his legacy will live on. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. A blessing service for Arthur will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Father Joseph Bonafed of St. John Baptist de la Salle Catholic Church, officiating.
