Mary Snell, 92, of Southern Pines, N.C. passed away at the Pinehurst Health and Rehabilitation center on Saturday, August 12th.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born in Bismarck, N.D. on March 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Feist. Mary’s family would move to Yakama, WA when she was a teen. It was during WWII that she met, and later married Edwin Snell in Seattle. They would move to Genesee County, N.Y. and raise a family. In 1986, Mary and Ed would retire to Punta Gorda, Fla. before she relocated to Southern Pines in 2016.
Mary was the wife of the late Edwin Snell. She was the mother of Diane Snell Kwit of Churchville, and Donald Snell, wife Linda, of Seven Lakes, N.C. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren: Kathleen Roncinske, husband Ronald, of Fairport, Tina Inzana, husband David, of Rochester, Tonya Shearer of Roswell, GA and Jeffrey Snell, wife Kimberly, of Milton, Ga. She was the great grandmother of: Caroline and Jamie Roncinske, Alexandra and Erica Inzana, Tristan Shearer and Kayla Woods.
Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines is serving the family.
