ernard Scholl, 79, of Tiffin, died March 5, 2012, at St. Francis Community Home. Bernard was born May 4, 1932, to the late Charles and Helen Scholl, in Tiffin. He married Anna Lousie Tiell, February 5th, 1955, in Coronado, California, and she proceeded him in death on December 12, 1999. He is survived by two sons, Daniel and John Scholl, both of Tiffin; four daughters, Maryanne Harr, of Bellevue; Jane Scholl and Theresa Distel, both of Tiffin; and Joan Scholl, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and three sisters; and a daughter of his heart, Louann Reinhart. He is proceeded in death by one brother, Charles Scholl, Jr. Bernard was a 1950 graduate of Calvert High School. He served in the U.S. Navy 1951-1955 as a gunner's mate. Bernie worked at the A&P Store for many years, Webster Manufacturing, and Institutional Care Pharmacy, retiring after ten years. He then drove ICP for several more years. Bernie was an Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Bernard Francis Scholl, 79, of Tiffin, died at 12:25 am, Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Francis Home.
Bernie was born May 4, 1932 to the late Charles and Helen (Wagner) Scholl in Tiffin. He married Anna Louise Tiell, February 5, 1955 in Coronado, Calif. and she preceded him in death on December 12, 1999.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel (Marsha) Scholl and John Scholl, both of Tiffin; four daughters, Maryanne (Thomas) Haar, of Bellevue, Jane Scholl, Theresa (Robert) Distel, both of Tiffin, and Joan Scholl of Santa Fe, N.M.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary (Frederick) Smith, Ruth (Dick) Huffman, both of Tiffin, and Carol (Michael) Szyperski of Waterville, and a daughter of his heart, Louann Reinhart.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Scholl, Jr.
Bernie was a 1950 Tiffin Calvert High School graduate. He served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955 as a Gunner’s Mate. Bernie worked at the A & P store for many years, Webster Manufacturing, and Institutional Care Pharmacy, retiring after 10 years. He then drove for ICP for several more years. Bernie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan, and enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A Wake service will be at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8 at the funeral home with the Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with military rites at the gravesite performed by the United Veteran’s Council of Seneca County.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association in care of Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory.
