Bio: Genevieve Glass Sandefur, age 94, of Edmonton, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at NHC Healthcare of Glasgow surrounded by her loving family. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1pmCT in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with Bro. Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Randolph, Kentucky. Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2014 from 4pm until 8pmCT and after 9amCT, Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Gregory Glass, Ryan Glass, Blane Glass, Matthew Glass, Russell Glass and David Wilkinson. She was born November 18, 1919 in Ohio County Kentucky to the late Ira and Floa Simpson Daugherty. She died February 19, 2014, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 94 years, 3 months, and 1 day. She was a member of the Edmonton Baptist Church in Edmonton, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Hartford High School, attended University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky State College. She was a homemaker, teacher and worked for Kentucky Department of Human Resources until her retirement. Along with her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by husbands; Roger H.Glass, who she married on January 31, 1939; Richard Sandefur, who she married on June 21, 1986; one brother, Landon Daugherty. She is survived by the following: •Two sons: James R. (Jo Ann) Glass of Glasgow, KY and John R. (Diana) Glass of Edmonton, Kentucky•Two stepchildren: Dr Richard Sandefur of Evansville, Indiana and Diane Holder of Lexington, Kentucky•Five grandchildren: James Gregory (Denise) Glass, Jason E. (Sarah) Glass, Jennifer A. (David) Wilkinson, Matthew (Brooke) Glass, and Russell (Summer) Glass•Seven great grandchildren•And numerous great great grandchildren. Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
