Josephine “Jo Ella” Elizabeth Evrard, 71, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. She was born in Bristow on April 2, 1944 to the late Alvin and Bernice (Flamion) Lasher.
Jo Ella was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church where she was very active as a volunteer. She enjoyed gardening and decorating cakes.
Surviving is her husband, Frederick Sr. of Evanston; children, Angela Evrard Hamric of Owensboro, Lisa Evrard Hauser, Frederick Jr. and wife, Rebecca, Jerry and Jeffery Evrard, all of Tell City; sisters, Ruth Ann Gentry of Huntingburg, Alene Dauby of Tell City and Phyllis Bender of St. Meinrad; five grandchildren, Evan and Ashley Wettstain, Nicholas and Lindsay Hauser and Adam Evrard; two great-grandchildren.

EVANSTON – Josephine "Jo Ella" Elizabeth Evrard, 71, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.
She was born in Bristow April 2, 1944, to the late Alvin and Bernice (Flamion) Lasher.
Jo Ella was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy, where she was very active as a volunteer. She enjoyed gardening and decorating cakes.
Surviving are her husband, Frederick Evrard Sr. of Evanston; her children, Angela Evrard Hamric of Owensboro, Ky., Lisa Evrard Hauser, Frederick Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, and Jerry and Jeffery Evrard, all of Tell City; her sisters, Ruth Ann Gentry of Huntingburg, Alene Dauby of Tell City and Phyllis Bender of St. Meinrad; five grandchildren, Evan and Ashley Wettstain, Nicholas and Lindsay Hauser and Adam Evrard and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 13, at 10 a.m. CST at St. Pius Church. Father Sengole Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gilllick Funeral Home Sunday, April 12, from 1 to 7 p.m. and Monday from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
