Obituary for Frank P. Bases
Frank P. Bases, 89, of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Rittman, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016.
He was born May 5, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Rodolfo and Francesca Bases and lived most of his life in New York, Rittman and Arizona.
Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Following his military service he was employed by Babcock & Wilcox Company for 35 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a long time parishioner of Saint Ann Catholic Church in Rittman where he sang in the choir and taught high school religion. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree in Maricopa, Arizona. He enjoyed making and eating Italian food.
Frank will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife, Theresa; children, Paul (Grace) Bases, Gary (Joanne) Bases, Douglas (Tammy) Bases, Michael Bases, Thomas (Fleur) Bases, Peter (Susan) Bases and Karen (Bryant) Santini; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, John and Albert.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, OH.
