OBITUARY: Obituary;Richard M. Brooks, 75, of 326 S. Main St., Woodsfield, died April 4, 1996, in the Woodsfield nursing and rehabilitation center. He was born Feb. 1, 1921, in carrollton, a son of the late Henry and Rosa Rausch Brooks.He was a retired employee of the Ormet Corp., Hannibal, a member of the St. Sylvester catholic church, Woodsfield. a member of the Purgatorial Society, VFW Post 5303 and an Army Veteran of World War II.Surviving are his wife, doris McCollum Brooke, of Woodsfield; a son, Norman of Akron; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Lois) LeMasters, of Wierton and patricia templeton, of Woodsfield; a brother, Gilbert, of Houston, texas; two sisters, Mildres Forni, of Holiday, Fla. and Esther behling, of Columbus; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, lawrence and Ambrose Brooks.Friends were received April 6 and 7 at Bauer-Turner funeral home, woodsfield. Mass of Christian Burial was held April 8 at St. Sylvester Catholic church, with Rev. Chester pabin officiating. Interment followed in St. Sylvester cemetery, Woodsfield, with full military graveside services. Vigil services were held April 7, in the funeral home.
