Freddie Joe Veitenheimer, age 53, of Windthorst, Texas passed away Friday, February 12, 2016, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Vigil service and rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Deacon Don Brown officiating. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Moloney, O.F.S. Parochial Administrator of St. Mary’s and St. Boniface Catholic Church, and Deacon Don Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.
Freddie was born May 1, 1962 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Edward A. Veitenheimer and Alvina Marie Steinberger Veitenheimer.
Freddie attended Windthorst High School. He was employed by Steinberger Drilling Company and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and loved listening to his classic rock records. Freddie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Bambi Veitenheimer and Jeff Pipkin of Windthorst, and Ashley Veitenheimer of Windthorst; two sons, Chris Veitenheimer of Nocona, and Steven Veitenheimer of Wichita Falls; his father, Edward A. Veitenheimer of Windthorst; three sisters, Vicki Barrett and husband, Dale of Windthorst, Virgie Horn and husband, Jerry of Windthorst, and Vinie Wolf and husband, Bill of Windthorst; four brothers, Eddie Veitenheimer and wife, JoAnne of Deer Creek, Robert Veitenheimer and wife, Debbie of Henrietta, Larry Veitenheimer and wife, Cindy of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Joseph Veitenheimer and wife, Sara of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Maggie Sue Pipkin and Olivia Veitenheimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Freddie was preceded in death by his mother, Alvina Marie Veitenheimer on June 27, 2014; one sister, Vernie Ann Veitenheimer on October 8, 1964; one brother, Steven Veitenheimer on June 1953; three nephews, Ricky Barrett on January 16, 1979, Duke Veitenheimer on June 30, 1998 and Gary Horn on June 8, 2013; one niece, Sarah G. Granados on August 3, 2014; and one sister-in-law, Tami Veitenheimer on August 25, 2010.
