Birth: Jan. 24, 1941 Hague Emmons County North Dakota, USA Death: Dec. 23, 2016 Bismarck Burleigh County North Dakota, USA Ivo M. Klein, 75, Bismarck, died December 23, 2016 at a Bismarck hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Corey Nelson officiating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Ivo was born on January 24, 1941 to Andrew and Viola (Pfeifer) Klein. He was raised and educated in Hague, ND. After high school he entered the US Army stationed in Oakland, California. Upon his honorable discharge in 1961 he attended Business College for two years. On June 20, 1964 he married Marian (Masseth) at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck, ND. In 1968 he graduated from St. Alexius Center School of Radiology Technology. He also attended three years of nursing school at the University of Mary. He worked for the North Dakota Veterans Hospital in Fargo, ND, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening to occupy his retirement years. After Marian’s retirement in 2007, they moved to Bismarck, where he continued his wood working and gardening and also became interested in family genealogy and North Dakota history projects. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Marian, his son Loren and daughter-in-law Jessie, his granddaughter Alexis Klein and his two grandsons Taylor and Will Klein. He is also survived by his brothers, De Sales (Elaine) Klein, Aberdeen, SD, Jim Klein, Bismarck, his sister Jedaan Hoffman, Mandan, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother-in-law Frank Hoffman.
