He was born April 21, 1929, in Paulding County, the son of the late Lewis H. and Wilhelminia C. (Gombert) Myers. On December 31, 1954, he married Janet Colleen (Keysor) Myers, who survives in Haviland. Other survivors include four sons, Jerry (Holly) Myers, John (Camille) Myers and Rick Myers, all of Haviland, and Mark (Gaye) Myers of Payne; two sisters, Joan (Wilbur) Eddy of Van Wert and Caroline (Robert) Smith of Convoy; and seven grandchildren. Two brothers, Lewis and Maurice Myers, also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Paulding, with the Rev. Mike Harper officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Preferred memorials: Scott EMS or the Paulding County Food Pantry. Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding is handling arrangements.
