OBITUARY: Siegel, Bernard G. "Bernie"
Bernard Siegel, 79, Neenah, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at his home following a short illness. He was born September 16, 1926, in Sheboygan, son of George and Irma (Lutz) Siegel. Bernie married Marion Deischl October 28, 1950, in Sheboygan. He was employed at Marathon Corporation and was transferred to Ridgefield, Connecticut, where he lived and worked for 27 years at American Can Company and James River Corporation. He than returned to Neenah following retirement.
He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah; the Knights of Columbus, Neenah Council and the Theda Clark Hospital Auxiliary. He was a U. S. Navy veteran having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Marion; his daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Vincent LaSorsa, Hatboro, Pennsylvania; and Mary and Russ Harmon, Sterling, Virginia; five grandchildren: Robert, Jason, Jamie, Kristin and Laura; brothers and sister: Rev. Kenan Siegel O.F.M. Cap., Mount Calvary, Wisconsin; Richard (Judy) Siegel, Sheboygan; Norbert (Jane) Siegel, Kewaskum; and Sister Marianne Siegel, S.N.D., Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brother Robert Siegel.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, April 20, 2006, at St. Margaret Mary Church with Rev. Kenan Siegel officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the church from 10:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the mass. A memorial has been established for St. Margaret Mary Church, Neenah.
