Elaine Burlack
WISHEK- Elaine Burlack, 75, Wishek, died Jan. 16, 2006, at Wishek Home for the Aged. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek.Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Elaine Eissinger, daughter of Jacob and Margaretha (Bohlman) Eissinger, was born Aug. 11, 1930, at Wishek. She grew up on the family farm northwest of Wishek and received her education at Wishek. Elaine was united in marriage to Benjamin Burlack on June 12, 1949, at Wishek. They lived on the family farm until they retired to Bismarck in 1983. She was the Farmers Union youth director for Logan County, a rural school teacher, a housewife and farm hand.
She lived in Bismarck until her failing health caused her to move back to Wishek in July 2005, where she resided at Wishek Nursing Home.
Elaine is survived by one son; Gerald (June) Burlack, Wishek; three daughters; Marjorie (Mike) Horner, Napoleon, Laurel (Robin) Fisher, Denver, and Pamela (Vincent) Marolla, Racine, Wis., five sisters-in-law; Alma Heupel, Eileen Ketterling and Marion Vossler, all of Wishek, Ermaline Zavilawitz, Montrose, N.Y., and Gertrude Eissinger, Mesa, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny; her parents; four brothers and one sister.
