Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bertrand Paul Barthe; her parents Louise and Joseph Wegmann; and her brothers, Edwin, Joseph and Louis Wegmann. Evelyn was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Arabi, LA since 1953 until Hurricane Katrina. She eventually moved back to Chalmette, LA and then resided in Slidell, LA for the past three years. While living in the parish, she was an active member of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church; AARP 4420 St. Claude Heights Chapter and the St. Bernard Council of Aging. She was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who treasured her family.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Sunday, February 21st from 10:00AM ? 1:30PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 1:30PM.
