William T. Dahm , 56, of Belleville , IL , born August 19, 1950 , in Belleville , IL , died Monday, January 15, 2007 , at St. Elizabeth ?s Hospital, Belleville , IL , as a result of a tragic accident.
Mr. Dahm was worked at Peerless Premier Stove Factory in Belleville, IL. He was a 1968 graduate of Althoff Catholic High School, where he lettered in varsity football. He was also a graduate of Belleville Area College, where he was on the college chess team. Bill was a sports enthusiast and a referee and an umpire for various sports leagues. He was an avid reader with a love for the arts and strong conversation. He loved to hunt and fish and was an exceptional dart player. He was a member of the Boilermakers Union; the Belleville Jaycees; and the Catholic Church.
Mr. Dahm was preceded in death by his parents, Norman T. and Dolores E., nee Koch, Dahm, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Arthur ?Ottie? and Jennie, nee Fries, Koch; his paternal grandparents, Francis and Anna, nee Selementi, Dahm; four uncles, Arthur and Jack Koch, Kenneth Dahm, and Allen Bevirt; an aunt, Mary Koch; and two cousins, Greg and Jeff Bevirt.

Bill was a loving and loyal son, brother, and uncle. He was the long-time caregiver to Grandma Koch.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2007, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. There will be a prayer service held at 4 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral procession will leave at 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2007, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Henry?s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. Bernard Voss officiating.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
