Beatrice "Bea" L. Greiner, 82, of 1018 W. Burnett St., Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday,
Feb. 7, at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. Burial will be in St. Theresa Memorial Gardens, Theresa.
Beatrice was born on Dec. 7, 1923, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Edwin and Leona (Baltz) Braeger. She was married to Eugene L. Greiner on Sept. 11, 1948, at St. Patrick's Rectory, Fond du Lac.
Beatrice was a graduate of Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac and the Milwaukee County General Hospital School of Nursing. She had been employed as a registered nurse for Dr. Roger Bender in Beaver Dam, and retired from the Beaver Dam Care Center. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 146 of Beaver Dam, Past Grande Presidente and Sous Presidente Nationale of La Societe de Femme and a member of the Dodge County Cabane 856. She was a 2003 Beaver Dam School District Wall of Fame recipient and a former mentor with the PALS Program in Beaver Dam for over 10 years. She was also a former member of the board of directors for the Beaver Dam Eye Study.
Survivors include one son, Jim Greiner, Lansing, Mich.; a special niece, Barbara (Bob) Urban, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene, in 2005; an infant son, Bruce; her twin sister, Bernice Beswick in 2005, and two brothers, Alfred Braeger and Edward Braeger.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.
Memorials may be made to Dodge County Voiture 856 Nurses Training Scholarship.
