Judith (Judy) Sharon Douglas, age 71, passed away of natural causes at home on the 26th of September 2012. Judy was born in Eureka, South Dakota on the 23rd of March 1941 to Ted and Hilda Sperle. She moved as a baby with her parents and siblings to the Yakima area in 1941.
Judy met and married O'Neil Douglas on 19th of May 1959. They were blessed with two sons; Lawrence and Wesley (Linda) Douglas; 6 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and loved having her grandchildren visit with her. She was very giving and generous, always giving to who ever came to her home something to take home with them. She always remembered birthdays and anniversaries.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Hilda Sperle; a sister Elaine Jane Sperle; and a brother Larry Dean Sperle.
She is survived by her husband O'Neil Douglas; her two sons Lawrence and Wesley (Linda) Douglas all of Wapato; her brother Roger (Judy) Sperle of Kent, WA; sisters Lucille Aldridge of Seattle, Sheila Richins of Ogden, UT, Janet (David) Long of Preston, ID and Rhonda (Brad) Warra of Naselle, WA.
Visitation will be on Sunday September 30, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato, WA. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Reservation Community Memorial Park.
Merritt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
