Birth: Mar. 9, 1896 Death: Jan. 25, 1964 Mr. Silliman of LoBurrell Dies at 67 George F. Silliman, 67, of 312 Montana Ave., Lower Burrell, died unexpectedly at 11 p.m. yesterday (Jan. 5, 1964) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Mr. Silliman was born March 9, 1896, in Tarentum to the late Louis and Emma Silliman. He was a resident of the Allegheny Valley his entire life. Until his retirement in 1959, Mr. Silliman was employed as an electric furance charger by Brackenridge Works of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, New Kensington; an honorary member of Eureka Fire Co., Tarentum; Untied Steel Workers Local 1196, Brackenridge; and Allegheny County Firemen's Association. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Leona Wagner Silliman; one son, Fred Silliman of Lower Burrell; two brothers, Lawrence and John Silliman, both of Tarentum; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Burns and Mis Marie Silliman, both of New Kensington; and two grandchildren. Friends are being received in Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, 2877 Leechburg Road (opposite Stewart School), Lower Burrell, where a sevice willbe conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Vincent Hartman, pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ, New Kensington, will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Arnold. Family links: Parents: Louis V.
