Robert H. Stoehr, age 84, of Canton, died July 24, 2010 in Aultman Hospital. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, following a period of declining health. Robert was born in Beallsville, OH on May 22, 1926 to the late Harold E. and Adda Mae (Conger) Stoehr, grew up in Woodsfield and lived the greater portion of his life in Canton. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater. Bob was a retired carpenter and home builder. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Francis Lucile Stoehr who passed away in 1989; two brothers, William and Harold Jr. Stoehr. Robert is survived by his two sons, Lark R. Stoehr of Canton and Flek (Kathy) Stoehr of Perry Twp; several nieces, nephews, and special friend, Rose Mary Green. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Rev. James D. Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in Melscheimer Cemetery.
