Allen E. Moyer, Jr.

Allen E. "Junior" Moyer, Jr., 85, formerly of Racehorse Drive, Jonestown, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, in Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Ernestine M. Walborn Moyer, to whom he was married for 65 years.
Born in Hershey on July 16, 1930, he was the son of the late Allen E. Moyer, Sr. and Ida M. Landvater Moyer. He was a retired truck driver for Harrisburg Paper Company/xpedx.
Allen appreciated the simple things in life. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He attended the Lebanon Valley Bible Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Donna, wife of Steve Wade, with whom he lived; two sons, Dean A., husband of Jodi Moyer, of Cleona, Darryl B., husband of Della Moyer of Annville; grandchildren, Sarah Wade, Nicole Wade, Joseph Wade, Justin, husband of Katelyn Moyer, Amber Moyer, Jennifer, wife of John Lengle, Joshua, husband of Amy Moyer; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Matthew Wade, Alivia Diana Moyer, Collin Justin Moyer, Ellie Marie Moyer, Bella Rose Moyer and Christina Ruby Lengle; a brother, John, husband of Alice Moyer of Jonestown; and three sisters, Irene Van Syoc of Palmyra, Arlene Whitman of Lebanon, and Marlene, wife of Clair Groff of Palmyra. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Umbrell.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Kreamer and Lum Funeral Home and Crematory, Rt. 72 and Campmeeting Road, Jonestown. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.
