Hauter, 94, of Findlay, formerly of Hicksville, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016, exactly one year after her twin sister, Martha. She had been living at her son’s home in Findlay since 2009. Born on April 10, 1921 in Edon, Ohio, Agnes was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Thiel) Muehlfeld. On November 20, 1954, she was united in marriage to Henry M. Hauter in Blakeslee, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1980. Agnes was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society in Hicksville, Ohio. Agnes is survived by her children, Diane (Craig) Viers of Lexington, South Carolina; Gary Hauter of Findlay, Ohio; Roseann (Jeff) Volkert of Hicksville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Nathan (Karen) Viers of Avon, Ohio, Adam and Michael Battershell of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Pauline Trausch, Martha Hurd; brothers, Herbert and Francis Muehlfeld; three sisters in infancy, and a son-in-law, Bob Battershell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:30 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hicksville with Fr. Dan Borgelt officiating. Visitation will take place Friday from 2-8 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
