Birth: May 6, 1913 Wishek McIntosh County North Dakota, USA Death: Jul. 13, 1989 Aberdeen Brown County South Dakota, USA Wishek Star, ND, Jul. 19, 1989 — Funeral service for Frieda Meidinger, 76, Aberdeen, was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 1989 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Eldon Reich officiating. She died Thursday, July 13, 1989 at the Americana Heathcare Center. Burial took place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Frieda Rueb was born on May 6, 1913 at Wishek to Philip and Katharina (Schwind) Rueb. She grew up and attended school in this area. After school she worked on the family farm. She married Calvin Meidinger on March 15, 1934 at Ashley and they lived on a farm near Zeeland. In 1936 they moved to a farm southwest of Wishek. In 1957 they moved into Wishek until 1963 when they moved to Aberdeen where they have lived since. On April 7, 1989 she moved into the Americana Healthcare Center. Survivors include her husband, Calvin Meidinger, Aberdeen, SD; one son, Jerome Meidinger, Strasburg; seven daughters, Mrs. Julius (Mavis) Waelhof and Mrs. Herbert (Arla) Weist, both of Zeeland, Mrs. Gene (Judy) Wilson, Hayti, SD, Mrs. Eugene (Carol) Kessler, Aberdeen, SD, Mrs. Rodney (Ardella) Buchholz, Fredonia, Mrs. Darold (Joyce) Finck, Wishek, Mrs. Jay (Janice) Willis, Mount Clemens, MI; four brothers, Dave Rueb, Wishek, Ted Rueb, Ukiah, CA, Lindy Rueb, Belgrade, MT, Ben Rueb, Sacramento, CA; one sister, Hulda Werth, Lehr; 21 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers were grandsons, Richard Weist, Herb Wiest, Terry Waelhof, Rick Buchholz, Darin Finck and Lynn Diebert.
