Birth: Dec. 5, 1928 Guyson Logan County North Dakota, USA Death: Jun. 16, 2009 Lehr McIntosh County North Dakota, USA The Jamestown Sun, ND, 19 June 2009 Edwin Ketterling, 80, Lehr, N.D., died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at his home. Mr. Ketterling was born Dec. 5, 1928, near Guyson, N.D., the son of Harold and Hilda (Fuchs) Ketterling. He grew up in the area and received his elementary education in the local school. He married Ella Bader on Sept. 11, 1952, in Fredonia, N.D. They lived on the family farm eight miles southwest of Fredonia. In 1964 they moved into Fredonia and continued to farm. He also did other jobs in the community. In 1968 they moved back to the farm where they farmed until 1997 when they retired. They moved to Lehr in June 2008. He was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Fredonia, served on the church council, and was a member of the Fredonia Senior Citizens. He enjoyed collecting antiques and going to auction sales and flea markets. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Rachel Anderson, Plymouth, Minn., and Wanda (Wilbur) Zimmerman, Lehr; a sister, Janice Martin, Jamestown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Fredonia, with the Rev. Adam Roberts officiating. Prayer service: 7:30 p.m. today, Haut Funeral Homes, Wishek, N.D. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Haut Funeral Chapel, Wishek. Burial: Lutheran Cemetery, Fredonia.
