Pastor Hyle Anderson will officiate. Burial following in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Hertha died on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at ManorCare Health Service of Aberdeen. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 1:00-5:00 pm with family present from 4:00-5:00 pm at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main Street, Aberdeen. Hertha Klein, daughter of John and Rosina (Ladner) Klein was born on October 29, 1926 near Artas, SD. At a young age she moved with her family to a farm near Wetonka, SD. She attended country school. Hertha began making her home in Aberdeen as a young woman and worked at the Black Hawk Café. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Jensen on September 29, 1946 in Aberdeen. For a short time they made their home on a farm south of Aberdeen. They moved back to town where Hertha stayed at home and cared for her family. In her later years she began making her home with her daughter and remained in Aberdeen until the time of her death. Her beloved husband LeRoy passed away on August 19, 1997. Hertha loved her family and especially cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid Minnesota Twins and Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed being in a football pool with her son. In her free time she enjoyed attending the horse races and going to the casino. She loved flowers, going fishing and feeding birds. Hertha enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to the puzzles in the Globe Magazine. She was also a member of the VFW and DAV Ladies Auxiliaries. Grateful for having shared her life are her son Jerry E. Jensen, Aberdeen; daughter Gloria (Duane) Sukut, Aberdeen; two grandchildren, Sol (Heather) Sukut and Sandra (Peter) Frickson, eight great grandchildren, Darby, Delana, Joshua, Jacob and Andrew Sukut and Samantha, Tanner and Brittney Frickson, three brothers, Gideon (Lori), Harold (Karen) and Rudolph Klein, one sister, Amanda Langkand and several nieces and nephews. Hertha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Helen and Violet and four brothers, Herman, Walter, Ivan and Fred.
