She was born in Marietta, Ohio, but moved to Alabama in 1952. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Elkins Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel, with Matt Heupel and John Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. She will have military honors at the cemetery. She was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army at the rank of 4th Grade T4. She served from 1942 until 1946. Erma was a member of and served as an officer in several organizations in her life. She was a professional baker known affectionately as "Myrt" and her family and friends enjoyed her goodies. Erma was a member of Woodlawn Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. "Jim" Reynolds, mother, Anna Petty, and brother, Pete Stegner. Erma is survived by her daughters, Judy Lawson (David), of Birmingham, Ala., Pam Honey (Tommy), of Tuscumbia; one sister, Bernice DeLong, of Ohio; grandchildren, Missy Rikard, Angelia Bowen, Chris Lawson, James Milstead, Connie Honey, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, all of Florence; and one niece, Susan Gunther, of New Hampshire. She will be missed by her family who loved her very much. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Mitchell, J.C. Frye, Dr. Robert Webb, Dr. BarryLumpkins, Dr. Edward Moore and Dr. Therese Lango. The family sends a special thank you to the Pallitive Care Department at ECM and the entire sixth-floor staff.
