Metz, age 67, of Port Clinton and formerly of McComb, died Monday, December 26, 2011, at 2:55 a.m. at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo. She was born July 14, 1944, in McComb to Eugene and Vesta (Butler) Metz and they are deceased. Ms. Metz is survived by two brothers, John (Cathy) Metz of McComb; and Fred (Judy) Metz of Falls Church, VA; and a sister, Betty Engle of Toledo. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Ms. Metz worked for Inclusive Solutions Day Habitation Program in Port Clinton. She did volunteer work educating people about Cerebral Palsy. She enjoyed traveling; loved animals; and had numerous pets, including birds, dogs, and cats. Visitation will be on Friday, December 30, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME in McComb with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Howard Mayne officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
