"Fred" Eyer, 84, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was a retired pipe and steam fitter and member of Local 136 Plumbers and Steam Fitters of Evansville for 50 years. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Olney and the Grayville Churchmen. He was honored as the Grayville Citizen of the Year and in 1992, was the Illinois Senior Citizen of the Year. Surviving are his wife, Mary (Parker); three daughters, Elsa K. Eyer of Chicago, A. Jane Lowder of Plano, Texas and Judie Stevenson of Sumner; two sons, Daniel L. of Crossville and Timothy J. of Wadesville, Ind.; five grandchildren, Christine Foster, Michele Will, Fredrik Daniel Eyer, Danielle Eyer and Todd Stevenson; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services at Sturm Funeral Home Grayville Chapel. Graveside services at Shiloh Cemetery in Bridgeport.
