Birth: Mar. 17, 1951 Miles City Custer County Montana, USA Death: Feb. 28, 2004 Billings Yellowstone County Montana, USA ROCK SPRINGS - Mass of Christian Burial for Billings, Mont., resident Dennis Peter Kuntz, 52, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Rock Springs by Fr. Dennis Cloonan. Graveside services will be in the Paul J. Wataha Memorial Park Section of Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 3. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon until 4 p.m. in Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs; and at the church from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday morning until service-time. The family will receive guests at the home of his mother, Josephine Kuntz, 107 Morning Glory Way, Rock Springs. He died Feb. 28, 2004, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings, of a sudden illness. Born May 17, 1951, in Miles City, Mont., he was the son of Andrew and Josephine (Burger) Kuntz; was raised and educated in Rock Springs; and graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1969. On July 24, 1971, he married Shelia McCaskill at SCM Church. A longtime resident of Rock Springs, he had lived in Billings for the last 14 years and was branch manager for Yellow Freight Transportation for the last 18 years. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and his greatest joy was his family. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 32 years of Billings; three daughters and their husbands, Tiffany Salveson of Billings and Traci Erhardt and Toni Madison, all of Denver; three sisters and their husbands, Beatrice Turcato, Brenda Jensen and Berna McWhorter, all of Rock Springs; four grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Bernetta Kuntz.
