Johann BECKER was born 7 September 1851 in Kassel, Glueckstal, Odessa, South Russia and died 15 February 1911 in Lehr, McIntosh County, North Dakota.
Johann married Barbara GOEHRING 8 February 1877 in Kassel, Glueckstal, Odessa, South Russia.
Johann and Barbara BECKER with their oldest son John immigrated to America from Glasgow to Castle Garden, New York, arriving on the 2 June 1879 aboard the SS "Circassia".
They first made their home in Tripp, Hutchinson, Dakota Territory, then relocated to their homestead in rural Lehr, Dakota Territory in June 1886 (4½ miles southeast of Lehr) and into the town of Lehr in March 1910.
