Georg married Barbara BECKER on the 3rd of November 1864 in Kassel, Glueckstal, Odessa, South Russia. This union was blessed with 10 children; Magdalena, Jacob F, Katherina, Christina, Karolina, Karl, Eva, Paulina, Beata and Elizabeth. The family immigrated to South Dakota in 1893.
