Davenport - Joachim "J.C." Mosbrucker, Davenport, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Crest Health Center, Davenport.
Celebration of Life services will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport.
Joachim was born Nov. 18, 1912, in Glen Ullin, N.D. He was the son of Adolph Mosbrucker and Pauline Deitrich. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Bode on Sept. 27, 1941, in Long Beach, Calif.
He was a farmer and a rancher.
Joachim served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was active in the American Legion, Catholic War Veteran, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree Knight, and State Americanism chairman for 20 years. He was a lector at Sacred Heart and Christ the King for many years. He enjoyed square dance club and bowling. Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church or Genesis Hospice, Davenport.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; a daughter and son-in-law, Ileine and Larry Seim, New Fairfield, Conn.; sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Heather Mosbrucker, Vancouver, Canada, and Mark and Jane Mosbrucker, Davenport; a sister, Joan Watts; brothers, Innocence, John, Steve, Nick and Bill Mosbrucker; and eight grandchildren, Chris Seim, Cher and Sean (Mosbrucker) Keck, Darin Seim, Jeff Mosbrucker, Paula Mosbrucker, Joey Mosbrucker, Seth Mosbrucker and Shelby Mosbrucker. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
