Mrs. Nancy Breiner

.Nancy Breiner, 92, "Mayor" and life long resident of Sulphur Well and widow of Joseph Breiner who died Dec. 24, 1984, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Guy Meredith and Berta Askins Stacy born March 16, 1921 in the community of Sulphur Well in Jessamine County. Nancy joined Sulphur Well Christian Church on Easter Sunday in 1935 and continued her devotion to the Church her entire life. She was a member of the Choir and the L.W. Society and always quick to lend a hand when needed. She operated The Trading Post Grocery with her father and husband from 1939 until retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Happy Chandler Happy Club and the Beef Cattlemen's Association. She leaves to cherish her memory sons James Meredith Breiner, wife Sue, Joseph Michael Breiner, wife Franzetta, and Ronald Clay Breiner, wife Regina, grandchildren Guy Scot Breiner, wife Billi, James Steven Breiner, wife April, Melisa Ann Parker, husband Rob, John Daniel Breiner, wife Sarah, Tifany Jo Perrine, husband Scott, Andrea Michele Osbourne, husband Charles, and Jana Kate Bertram, husband Sam, 10 great grandchildren and a host of friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Sulphur Well Christian Church with Rev. Tyson Cummings officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be John Breiner, Scot Breiner, Steve Breiner, Rob Parker, Charles Osbourne and Scot Perrine. Honorary bearers will be Johnny Davis, Bradie Harvey, Frankie Reynolds, Roy Williams, and the Sulphur Well Christian Church Officers. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 PM on Friday, Sept. 13, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Council Oaks Assisted Living staff and residents for their love and support during Nancy's last months. A special thanks to Litty Dean for her wonderful love, companionship and care during Nancy's most difficult times.
