Jean was born on Dec. 16, 1917 in Pendleton to Orie and Hilda Jay (Geissel). Jean married Laurence "Larry" Pixley in 1953. They enjoyed many good times together including long walks and vacation trips. Jean was a very positive person and always had a cheerful smile. She was an active person and loved to garden and get her hands in the dirt. She enjoyed her food too, with spaghetti, Hershey bars, chocolate chip cookies and HomeTown Buffet lunches being favorites. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Larry in 1987. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Ann Swart; nephews, Jim Swart and David Swart; nieces, Janet Galvez (Rich) and Rhonda Clary (Darrel); great-nieces, Adrianne Galvez and Melinda Murphy (Ryan); and great-nephew, Sergei Clary, all of whom she loved as her "kids" and "grandkids."
