Age 79, son of the late George G. and Clara Dill Hoh. He lived most of his life in Erie.
He worked at General Electric Co., retiring in 1982. He served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant and was awarded the Bronze Star during World War II. He was a member of the Hoh Family Orchestra, which played many functions in the area. He was also a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and camping.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Alyce Connolly, Patricia Klein; and Rita Borgia; and two brothers, Norbert* and George Hoh.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Dorothy C. Trohoski Barcio Hoh; two daughters, Pamela Jean Gillespie and her husband, James, of North East and Karen Lynne Stoops and her husband, Richmond, of Erie; four sons, Robert Jeffrey Hoh and his wife, Gail, of Union City and David Joseph Hoh and his wife, Lisa, Gregory Mark Hoh and his wife, Lisa, and Michael Joseph Hoh and his wife, Darlene, all of Erie; a sister, Lucille Ida Martin of Erie; two brothers, Richard C. Hoh of New York City and William Hoh of Austin, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial, with full military honors, will be held at Mary, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
