Age 88, a son of the late Charles and Nora McCoy Dill.
Norman attended Fairview High School, and served with the U.S. Navy during WWII, in the South Pacific. He was employed for 37 years at Hammermill Paper Company, as an electrician, retiring in 1989. He was member of St. Julia Church, and enjoyed gardening and beekeeping.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent Dill and two sisters, Rita Harkins and Virginia Dill.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Barcio Dill; two daughters, Melanie Warthman, of Maricopa, Ariz., Mary Kubiak, husband, Kris, of Millcreek; three sons, Norman Dill II, wife Lea, of Walworth, N.Y., Charles Dill (Patty), of Fairview, and Greg Dill, wife Nadine, of Hampstead, N.C.; two sisters, Dorothy Junod, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Eileen Wright, of Santa Barbara, Calif.; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Norman J. Dill, age 88, of Erie, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 20, 2014. He was born in Rasselas, PA on July 10, 1926, a son of the late Charles and Nora (McCoy) Dill.
Norman attended Fairview High School and served with the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He was employed for 37 years at Hammermill Paper Company as an electrician, retiring in 1989. He was member of St. Julia Church, and enjoyed gardening and beekeeping.

Family and friends may attend the Funeral Mass at noon on Friday at St. Julia Church, 638 Roslyn Ave. Private burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. at Greengarden Boulevard.
