Rosenberger, 84, of Vergennes, IL, passed away at 11:30 A.M., Monday, August 10, 2015 at the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital at Murphysboro, IL. Margaret had been a homemaker. She had worked at Geiger's Bakery, Higgins Jewelry Store, General Motors in St. Louis, JCPenney and Venture stores in St. Louis. She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Ava. Margaret had graduated from Vergennes High School. She was born October 18, 1930 at Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of William H. and Anna M. (Stein) Schneider. She married Lawrence Rosenberger on August 17, 1949 at Du Quoin, IL and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1992. She is survived by four children - Barbara Harte of Ashland, NH, Patricia Shelton of Warrenton, MO, Alan Rosenberger of Vergennes, IL and Judy Rosenberger of St. Louis, MO, three grandchildren - Jacob Rosenberger of Pinckneyville, Samantha Shelton of Troy, MO and Nicholas Shelton of Wentzville, MO, one brother - Sylvester Schneider of Millbrook, AL, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin with Fr. Joseph Oganda and Fr. Leo Hayes officiating. Friends may call from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Rosary will be prayed at 9:20 A.M., Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin. Friends may make memorials to Masses or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Sacred Heart Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
