CaywoodJeanne Caywood A memorial service for Sacramento native Jeanne Carolyn Nicolaus Caywood will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Drive. She died of cancer Sunday in her home at age 69. Mrs. Caywood was born in Sacramento to a pioneering family that settled in the area in 1848. The Sacramento High School graduate was a director of the Girl Scouts Tierra del Oro Council and Sacramento Children's Home, was second president of the Los Ninos Service League, and a member of the Junior League of Sacramento. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Grant D. Caywood; children, Grant N. Caywood of Eureka and Lindi J. Shultz of Carrollton, Texas; a brother, Edward A. Nicolaus Jr. of San Rafael; sisters, Betty Gray of Sacramento and Mary Stephens of Carmichael; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests that any remembrances be made to the Sacramento Children's Home, 2750 Sutterville Road, Sacramento, 95820.
