Charles L. Erb, died at Marietta Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained when he fell down a flight of steps leading to the basement under his store in Whipple and fractured his skull. He never regained consciousness. His wife found him, and he was rushed to the hospital, where it was discovered that the vertebra at the base of his brain was dislocated.
