BURKHART, Martha B. (nee Stenger). Daughter of the late Francis X. and Frances L. Stenger. Beloved wife for 64 years of Jerome (recently deceased). Devoted mother of Mary Theresa "Teri" (Dale Beuchert) Burkhart. Dear sister of the late Thomas Stenger. Survived by in-laws Edith Stenger, Mary Rose and Tom Hart and Miriam Burkhart, special niece Garlene "Bebe" Curry and many other nieces and nephews.
Martha was a graduate of Summit Country Day (1944), University of Cincinnati's Teachers College (1948), and received her Masters in Education from Xavier University (1960). She was a member of Theta Phi Alpha and Kappa Delta Pi. She was initiated into the Gamma Eta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society in 1964. She was also a longtime member of the College Club of Cincinnati and the Southwest Ohio Valley Women's Club. During her 40 years of teaching she touched the lives of students in Cincinnati Public Schools and Princeton City Schools, especially Pleasant Ridge Elementary and Glendale Elementary. Died Monday, July 15, 1013. Age 87.
Visitation Friday July 19, from 10:00-11:00AM at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home 10211 Plainfield Rd. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, Montgomery.
