Herb was born in Wishek, ND on Oct. 12, 1925 and raised in Lamoure, ND as part of a strong and loving farm family with 15 siblings. He served on numerous district church boards, the General Board of the Nazarene Church and was also active in Kiwanis and local ministerial associations where he ministered. Herb was an amazing carpenter and woodworker sharing many wonderful gifts with friends and family. Although his backyard was very small, he had the Master's touch and his own garden of Eden that was divinely abundant with beautiful flowers, fruit trees and vegetables that Shirley enjoyed freezing or canning to share with friends and family.

Herb was a dedicated pastor, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who is greatly loved. He deeply loved his God, his wife and family and his parishioners and demonstrated his love by involvement in people's joys and sorrows. He will be fondly remembered until we meet again in heaven.
