Obituary of Homer H. Schantz
Schantz, Homer A.
Rochester: Monday, November 21, 2011 at the age of 96. Pre-deceased by his brother Warren Schantz. Mr. Schantz is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Courtney Schantz, children David W. (Jane) Schantz, Karl H. (Janice D. Matheson) Schantz and Deborah (George Bartlett) Kellogg, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, sister, Helen Trussel. Homer was Co-Owner (with his step-brother Merritt Schantz) of Joseph A. Schantz Furniture and Storage Co., and co-owner of the Rochester Rug Market. Homer was long time member and former Master of the Charlotte Masonic Lodge; he also had many interests including woodworking, boating and golf. His greatest love was enjoying time with his family.
His family will receive friends THURSDAY 4:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where his funeral service will be held FRIDAY 12:00 PM. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery.
