He attended Central Catholic High School of Canton, Ohio and graduated from Kent State University. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1954-56. Dick was retired after 33 years with Nationwide Insurance. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward J. and Beatrice Rose (Halter) Staudt of Canton, Ohio. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Ebner) Staudt of 48 years; son, Jeffery (Rhonda) Staudt and grandchildren, Rachel, Eric and Matthew of Niskayuna, NY; daughter, Kathleen (John) Hohman and grandchildren, Tyler, Kirstan and Jenna of Westerville, Ohio; daughter, Jennifer (Jarvis) Woodson III and grandchildren, Jarvis Brandon IV, Brittney and Brooke of Dublin, Ohio. He is also survived by brother, Edward J. Staudt of Canton, Ohio; sister, Anne (Staudt) Dowling of Canton, Ohio; John Staudt of Salem, Ohio; Lawrence Staudt of Fort Meyers Beach, Florida; and Elizabeth (Staudt) Barrowman, of Columbus, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
