Birth: Mar. 13, 1909 Death: Aug. 1, 2011 June Olive Stock, 102, Noblesville, a former Kokomo resident until three-and-a-half years ago, died at 5:57 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at the home of her daughter. She was born March 13, 1909, in Redkey, the daughter of William Calvin and Flora Vanilla (Coates) Wyrick. On Sept. 24, 1938, she married George J. Stock, who preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1994. June retired from Delco Radio in 1970 after 20 years of service. She did volunteer work for several organizations until reaching age 90, but especially enjoyed her work at the Senior Citizens Center and the Americana Nursing Home. She loved gardening, sewing and crocheting. She was also an excellent bowler, having participated in several leagues and tournaments. June is survived by one son, William G. Stock and wife Joyce, Auburndale, Fla.; one daughter, Beth Russell, Noblesville; four grandchildren, Deborah Stansell and husband John, Indianapolis, Kimberly Kinney, Noblesville, Rob Russell, Indianapolis, and Susan Taylor, Kokomo; and three great-grandchildren, Courtney and Paige Stansell, and Christopher W. Kinney. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; and one sister. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Chaplain Tony Schommer officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday in the chapel at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., Noblesville.
