Birth: Feb. 16, 1964 North Dakota, USA Death: Oct. 21, 2013 Minot Ward County North Dakota, USA Roger Baluski, 49, Ruso, ND, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at Trinity Hospital in Minot, following a tragic accident on his farm. Roger Michael Baluski was born February 16, 1964, the son of Fred, Sr. and Gladys (Martinsen) Baluski, in Turtle Lake, ND. He was raised on the family farm located in Bjornson Township of McHenry County, west of Ruso, ND, and was baptized and confirmed at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Velva. He was educated in Velva and graduated from Velva high School in 1983. Following his high school graduation, he resided on the Baluski family farm, where he farmed and ranched. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Velva. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, bicycling, mowing lawns, snow blowing, staying active, tinkering and fixing things. He loved animals, especially his dog, Hoss, and was a practical jokester. He was always willing to help others and was good with kids. Roger was a family oriented man, who loved taking his mother, Gladys, to play Bingo and was an excellent caregiver to her. Surviving family includes: mother, Gladys, Ruso; brothers, Dave (Denine) Baluski, Garrison, Wade (Kathy) Baluski, Delano, MN, and Fred (Evonne) Baluski, Ruso; niece, Megan Baluski; nephew, Nathan Baluski; step nieces, Angela and Teresa Meyer; step nephews, Scott, Jeff, and Cory Steele; several great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts, Viola Bradshaw, California, and Pauline Fiske, California; and numerous cousins. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Fred, Sr.; brothers, Martin and James; and maternal and paternal grandparents. Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva. Interment: Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Velva, ND. Family links: Parents: Fred W.
