Born Sept. 15, 1956, in New Albany, he was the son of Sarah Faye Fancher Adkins of Clarksville and the late Jimmy Ray Adkins. He was a former employee of the old Keller Manufacturing Co. Survivors besides his mother include two sisters, Suzanne Jean Adkins-Fitzgerald (Tommy) and Doreen (Dody) Rae Adkins, both of Clarksville; a brother, Gary Trent Adkins of Jeffersonville; and nieces and a nephew. Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey. Funeral: Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Central Barren Cemetery. The family suggests memorial gifts to the Harrison County Animal Shelter, 3132 Hope Lane NW, Corydon, IN 47112.
