Obituary for Joseph H. Eckstein
Joseph H. Eckstein, age 81 of Brookville, died Friday, March 6, 2020 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Born August 29, 1938 in Sunman, Indiana, he is the son of Romilda (Nee: Gauck) and Joseph W. Eckstein.
Joe earned a bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for over 20 years at Proctor and Gamble, in addition to having Eckstein Enterprises Incorporated, a business he ran from his home. As the grandchildren and great grandchildren came along, he delighted in spending time with them as well as his pets.
He is survived by his daughters Debbie Kaeser of West Harrison, Indiana, Bev Knueven of Sunman; sons Joey Eckstein and Andy Eckstein, both of Sunman, Pat Eckstein of Brookville; sisters Sr. Helen Eckstein O.S.F. of Oldenburg, Rosella Koehne of Batesville; brother Tony Eckstein of Cincinnati; seventeen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by daughter Karen Barron and brothers Paul, Howard and Earl Eckstein.
Visitation is Friday, March 13th, from 9 ? 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony?s Church in Morris with Rev. Shaun Whittington officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family prefers memorials be directed to the donor?s choice.
