Cleona A. Barnhorst, 73, Batesville, died at her home Saturday, Nov. 5, 1994.
Born Jan. 5, 1921, in Oldenburg, she was the daughter of Henry F. and Mary (Giesting) Holtel. She married William R. Barnhorst April 13, 1940 in Holy Family Catholic Church in Oldenburg, and he survives. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville and of the Ladies Society at St. Louis Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, William H. Barnhorst, Rex, Ga., and Robert L. Barnhorst, Bristol, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Janet) Meyer, Batesville; a sister, Martha Werner, Oldenburg; two brothers, Alphonse Holtel, Cushman, Ark., and Lawrence Holtel, Oldenburg; a step-brother, Robert Pulskamp, Oldenburg; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Adeline Holtel; three brothers, Clarence, Paul and Ralph Holtel; a step-sister, Mrs. Frances Moeller and a grandson, Gregory Barnhorst.
The Rev. Bill Farris will conduct the services at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Louis Catholic Church, Batesville.
Burial will be in St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville.
There will be a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may go to the Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research Project.
