He passed away on January 31, 2016 in Salem, OR. He attended Harney Elementary, McLoughlin Jr. High, and graduated from Hudson's Bay High School in 1972. He worked for The Oregon Lottery for more than twenty years, where he loved his position as a computer operator in the IT department. He had great admiration for his co-workers, as they did for him. Stan loved watching sports, in particular his time spent rooting on the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes and Seattle Mariners. His trips to the Oregon Coast provided him happiness, as did camping with friends, taking photos, and spending time with his family. Stan passed away unexpectedly January 31 of natural causes. His death was preceded by his parents, William and Carrie Patterson. Stan is survived by his brother Brian, his sister Carol Fry, and his sister Shirley Platt, along with many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 21st at 1:00pm at the Aero Club Banquet Room, located at 9901 NE 7th Avenue, Vancouver, WA.
