RACINE - Mary K. Helbling, 37, passed away Monday, July 19, 2004, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Milwaukee, after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Mary was born in Racine March 18, 1967, daughter of Edward Kirkorian Sr. and Delores (nee: Schneider) Kirkorian. On June 14, 1997, at St. Rita Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Paul A. Helbling.
Mary was a graduate of Park High School "Class of 1985." Mary was employed by All Saints Healthcare in the Pain Management Department for nearly 15 years, up until her illness. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and contributing member of the Southeastern Wisconsin PKU Genetic Group. She enjoyed baking cakes; but above all, she loved being with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; her two daughters, Olivia Frances Helbling, Sophia Rose Helbling; her parents, Edward Kirkorian Sr. of Racine, Delores Kirkorian of Racine; her brothers and sisters, Tom (Rose) Kirkorian, Susan (John) Kirchenberg, all of Racine, Theresa (Michael) Alley of Raymond, Edward (Jenny) Kirkorian Jr. of Racine, Michael (Marge) Kirkorian of Raymond; special aunt, Mary Glenn of Racine; mother-in-law, Frances R. Helbling (nee: Kralicek) of Racine; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom (Sally) Helbling, Pat (Bob) Richards, all of Racine, Donna (Dale) Fletcher of Austin, Ark., Sue (Greg) Kobs of Oak Creek, Dan (Karin) Helbling of Yorkville, Phillip (Deanna) Helbling, Eileen (Rick) Sertuche, all of Racine; dear friend, Angie Haney; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, Thursday, July 22, 2004, 7 p.m. with Rev. Jack T. Shirley O.S.A. officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of Mass. Private interment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Memorials to the Mary Helbling Cancer Fund, c /o Johnson Bank, 4959 Douglas Avenue, Racine, Wis. 53402, have been suggested.
