Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Monday in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Valdez as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Walterscheid was born July 2, 1935, in Nazareth, the daughter of Andrew and Katherine Acker. She married Vincent Walterscheid Sr. in 1956 in Nazareth. Mary had been resident of Hereford since her marriage in 1956 and was a member of Christian Mothers. She was preceded in death by a son, Vincent Walterscheid Jr. Survivors include her husband, Vincent Walterscheid Sr.; two sons, Danny Walterscheid and wife Toylynn and Bruce Walterscheid and wife Diana, all of Amarillo; five daughters, Debbie Bradley and husband Kerry, Joyce Walterscheid and Connie Pike and husband Daryl, all of Amarillo, Jill Jaggers and husband Will of Fort Worth and Gail O'Kelly and husband Scott of Austin; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to St. Anthony's School Endowment Fund, 114 Sunset Drive, Hereford, TX 79045.
